(ENG/ITA) “What’s in my bag” videos where some of the first videos I’ve ever started watching regularly back in 2011-2012, when I started becoming a Youtube aficionada. Maybe because I’m naturally nosy, but I was enjoying seeing what somebody would carry in their everyday bag. As I see it, a handbag is much more than an accessory: it is a piece of us, an extension of our home and private space: you can tell a lot of someone by looking at the content of their bag.
During the years, my focus and values definitely shifted: I no longer care about makeup videos or random fashion hauls. But these “what’s in my bag” videos give me a sort of retro/back-to-oldschool-Youtube-days that I still enjoy, especially being on the other side of the camera.
This is what I currently keep in my bag when I don’t need to carry around my backpack with lunch, planner, snacks, etc. Berlin has been on lockdown since mid December and I basically only to go work, grocery shopping and for a few walks here and there. Still, I need to carry my essentials with me whenever I go out. In this video you can get a glimpse of the content of my everyday bag:
Note: until now I have been using exclusively reusable masks when I needed to wear one to stick to the current regulations. Unfortunately, starting today, in Berlin these will no longer be allowed, as only FFP2 or surgical masks will be allowed. As an eco-minimalist, I am not happy at all about this decision, as both type of masks are one-time-using masks and therefore disposable, not to mention quite expensive too. I have no other choice though and do whatever it is required by law. The important thing is to to get through this pandemic as soon as possible.
COSA C’è NELLA MIA BORSA (ECO-MINIMALISTA)
I video “Cosa c’è nella mia borsa” sono stati alcuni dei primi video che ho iniziato a guardare regolarmente nel 2011-2012, quando ho iniziato a diventare una vera aficionada di Youtube. Forse perché sono un pochino ficcanaso per natura, ma mi piaceva davvero vedere cosa qualcuno decideva di portare con sé quotidianamente in borsa. Per come la vedo io, una borsa è molto più di un accessorio: è un pezzo di noi, un’estensione della nostra casa e del nostro spazio privato: si può dire molto di una persona guardando il contenuto della sua borsa.
Nel corso degli anni, le mie priorità ed i miei valori sono decisamente cambiati: non mi interessano più i video di trucco ed i numerosi fashion hauls. Ma i “cosa c’è nella mia borsa” mi danno una sorta di mood retro/Youtube oldschool che mi piace ancora, soprattutto stando dall’altra parte della telecamera.
Questo è quello che attualmente tengo nella mia borsa quando non ho bisogno di portarmi dietro lo zaino con pranzo, snack, agenda ecc. . Berlino è sotto lockdown da metà dicembre e fondamentalmente esco solo per andare al lavoro, a fare la spesa e per qualche passeggiata qua e là. Tuttavia, ho bisogno di portare con me l’essenziale ogni volta che esco. In questo video potete vedere di che si tratta:
Nota: fino ad ora ho utilizzato esclusivamente mascherine riutilizzabili quando avevo bisogno di indossarne una per attenermi ai regolamenti vigenti. Purtroppo, a partire da oggi, a Berlino queste non saranno più permesse, in quanto saranno consentite solo le maschere FFP2 o quelle chirurgiche. In quanto eco-minimalista, non sono affatto felice di questa decisione, dato che entrambi i tipi di mascherine sono monouso, per non parlare del fatto che sono anche piuttosto costose. Però non ho altra scelta e devo fare ciò che la legge impone. La cosa davvero importante al momento è superare questa pandemia il più presto possibile.
