Food waste: how to prevent/ reduce it + “Sir Plus” shop in Berlin

(ENG/ITA) Christmas is a magical time. Everything feels possible. If we are lucky enough, we get to spend this time of the year with the loved ones, laughing, planning or dreaming about things we can do in the upcoming year, eating delicious treats, listening to xmas songs and feeling cuddled and hugged by hot mugs of mulled wine and colorful lights.

Unfortunately, Continue reading “Food waste: how to prevent/ reduce it + “Sir Plus” shop in Berlin”

Breaking bad habits and starting fresh

”I guess I got a bad habit, and it ain’t going away…”  The Offspring – Bad Habit

It’s dark and cold outside. When I wake up at 5.45 a.m. the sun has not risen yet and won’t be rising still for 2 good hours. The world is silent, quiet, at peace, wrapped up in its blanket as the daylight very slowly makes its appearance and gently tells ‘good morning’. This is the time for self care, for big cups of tea and cozy layers to stay warm before the frosty temperatures start to make you regret leaving the house (I’d gladly ban plenty of activities that require leaving the house in these days).

The thing is,   Continue reading “Breaking bad habits and starting fresh”

A few thoughts on Black Friday & how to be more conscious during holiday season

(ENG/ITA) “It’s not a good deal if you don’t need it.”

There it is, that time of the year again. Gold glittery wrapping paper, christmas themed shopping windows and mid-season discounts reminds us that we are running out of time to buy the perfect gift. It’s a race: Continue reading “A few thoughts on Black Friday & how to be more conscious during holiday season”

Random chats: life update and learning from mistakes

(ENG/ITA) Hello there. Hopefully this post finds you well. It seems like it’s been ages since I could sit down and write. Oh I’ve missed my mornings writing for my blog. It calms me in a way I didn’t know it was possible. I’ve been working like crazy in these past couple of weeks (#workworkwork), had problems with a tooth that finally seems to be okay now, got a cold, so I didn’t want to add more things on my to-do list considering my free time has shrunk. Now everything is back to normal, at least before the whole Christmas craze begins (if you work in retail, you know what I mean. I’m with you ❤ ).

So here I am, again, hopefully you’re still here.

Here’s a quick list of things I’ve been looking forward to during my busy working days, to help me calm down and maintain some kind of mental sanity:  Continue reading “Random chats: life update and learning from mistakes”

Playlist Autumn 2017: what I’ve been listening to

Oh autumn, beautiful autumn. The first time you step on a carpet of colorful leaves. The first time you curl yourself up in your coat. The first time you taste anything with pumpkin. The first time when resting on the couch while reading sounds more appealing than doing anything outdoors. The first time the chilly, crisp air Continue reading “Playlist Autumn 2017: what I’ve been listening to”

How to find motivation and positivity when having a bad day: 6 tips

(ENG/ITA) You know those days when you make a bajillion projects and you don’t even cross one tiny thing out of your to-do list? Well, this was exactly one of those days. At least for me. That kind of day that leaves you that bittersweet taste of time flying by without really taking fully advantage of it.

When something like this happened, I used to get frustrated because Continue reading “How to find motivation and positivity when having a bad day: 6 tips”

How to make oat milk: easy, zero waste recipe!

(ENG/ITA) A quick blog post to share how I make oat milk at home!

It’s easy and quick to make, it requires just 3 ingredients, it’s cheap and it is a great alternative to the store bought, plant based milk options.

I started to make my own plant based milk because I wanted to keep reducing my waste Continue reading “How to make oat milk: easy, zero waste recipe!”
